Fans of the popular anime series can now see their favourite game-obsessed characters come to life thanks to a stunning new No Game No Life cosplay. Shiro, the brilliant gamer with a strong bond with her older stepbrother Sora, is superbly portrayed by the talented cosplayer known as “likelawu” on social media.

In a series of captivating photos shared on Reddit, Likelawu wears Shiro’s iconic purple sailor uniform with thigh-high stockings. She finishes the look with Shiro’s golden crown, which is embellished with vibrant jewels that perfectly capture the character’s royal yet whimsical style.
The photos show Likelawu in various gaming scenarios in her room, surrounded by cards, chess pieces, and, of course, her laptop, which is ready for online play. One amusing aspect of the cosplay shoot is the presence of UNO cards scattered throughout the room. When fans jokingly pointed out the cards, Likelawu responded with a playful comment, “I destroyed the logo, you can not be sure o.o” Her attention to detail and playful interactions with fans have earned her widespread praise, but they have also fuelled the desire for a new season of No Game No Life.
The anime adaptation of No Game No Life aired for 12 episodes between April 9 and June 25, 2014. Although No Game No Life: Zero was released in theatres in 2017, there has been no word on a second season, which is frustrating. Even the author of the original light novels, Yuu Kamiya, has expressed confusion about the lack of an announcement for No Game No Life Season 2. Rumours circulated in late July that Aniplex and Kadokawa would reveal a new season, among other major anime announcements, at a special online event in August.
While the event did include the unexpected announcement of a new Lycoris Recoil animated film, fans were disappointed that there was no confirmation of No Game No Life Season 2.
Jukki Hanada, the anime writer for No Game No Life, has been working on several successful projects. He worked as a screenwriter on Kyoto Animation’s Sound! Euphonium anime series and the Love Live! idol series. Hanada also worked with Love Live! Sunshine!! director Kazuo Sakai on the original anime series Girls Band Cry, which Toei Animation is currently releasing in North America in a unique way.
For those looking to revisit or discover No Game No Life for the first time, both the original series and No Game No Life: Zero are available on popular streaming services such as Crunchyroll, Netflix, and Hulu. Despite being nearly a decade old, the series is still a favourite among anime fans, with many hoping for a long-awaited sequel season. After all, No Game No Life would not be the first anime to receive a highly anticipated sequel over ten years after its initial release.
