According to Oricon, Lacoste will debut its One Piece collaboration in Japan on August 2, also known as Crocodile Day, before releasing the collection internationally at a later date. Japan Anime News announced on X (formerly Twitter) that the merchandise lineup includes exclusive t-shirts, hoodies, and caps. Fans can see the first images of this exciting collection, collaborative artwork, and additional information below.

Sankei confirmed that the entire Lacoste x One Piece collection is made in Japan. Anna Ishii, the project’s ambassador, model, actress, and dancer, expressed her excitement about the collaboration. “My parents were huge fans of One Piece, so I’ve been reading it since I was old enough to understand. One of the reasons I considered entering the entertainment industry was that I hoped to someday work on One Piece. “I am overjoyed to have been given this opportunity,” Ishii said.

One Piece has had numerous high-profile collaborations. Last year, the franchise collaborated with the major eSports company Cloud9 on merchandise for a California pop-up event. This comes after a collaboration with Uniqlo in 2022 for One Piece Film: Red, and another for the anime’s 25th anniversary this year. Furthermore, the popular Netflix live-action series saw Zoro’s actor Mackenyu release exclusive One Piece merchandise through his INCRM brand earlier in 2024. The Lacoste collection’s exact international release date is unknown, but its global distribution has been confirmed.

Lacoste made the announcement at midnight on July 22, the 27th anniversary of the One Piece manga. This year promises to be full of celebrations, including the much-anticipated One Piece Day ’24, which is expected to be the largest yet. Fans are especially eager for more information on the upcoming anime reboot, The One Piece.

Crunchyroll streams the One Piece anime series, while Netflix releases the most recent episodes a week later. Crunchyroll describes the series as follows: “Monkey D. Luffy refuses to let anyone or anything stand in his way of becoming the pirate king. With a course set for the treacherous waters of the Grand Line and beyond, this is one captain who will not give up until he has claimed the greatest treasure on Earth: the Legendary One Piece.”
