Mr. 5 exacts revenge on Luffy for what happened at Whiskey Peak. He relentlessly kicks Luffy in the face with his “Kick Bombs.” Mr. 5 taunts Luffy, revealing that they have captured his swordsman friend and the navigator. Luffy defiantly states that Zoro will defeat them and spits on Mr. 5’s foot in a show of disdain. Annoyed by Luffy’s actions, Mr. 5 continues to kick him until Luffy falls unconscious. With Luffy defeated, Mr. 5 takes Vivi to Mr. 3.
In the meantime, Mr. 3 revels in his apparent victory, claiming that his “Candle Jacket” ability has rendered the giants powerless. He boasts that once his wax hardens, it’s as strong as iron, making the giants’ strength useless once they’re trapped. Mr. 3 reveals to Brogy that he was only able to settle the giants’ duel thanks to the partial assistance of a human. This shocking revelation leaves Brogy speechless. Mr. 3 explains that they targeted the giants because of the enormous bounties on their heads, further enraging Brogy.
Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine join Mr. 3, bringing Vivi with them. Vivi confronts Mr. 3, angrily accusing him of placing a bomb in Mr. Dorry’s barrel of rum. Brogy, upon hearing about the rum barrel explosion, struggles to come to terms with the shocking truth. Annoyed by Vivi’s outburst and her disclosure of his secret, Mr. 3 immobilizes her using his “Candle Lock” ability, sealing both her legs.
Mr. 3 employs his “Giant Candle Service Set” to make Zoro, Nami, and Vivi stand on it. This set looks like a giant candle stuck on a cake. All three are rendered immobile as their feet are trapped within the wax. Vivi observes a strange mist of wax drizzling down on them. Mr. 3 explains that this wax will eventually transform them into wax figures. They will become wax dolls with their true souls trapped inside. Nami, terrified by this revelation, begs Brogy for assistance. However, Brogy remains motionless, having just realized that Dorry, his dueling companion for over 100 years, was hiding a tragic secret. When Brogy first swung his battle axe, he knew, he murmured, that Dorry was hiding something from him, but he did not let up on his brutal strikes and sympathy, since how could he show sympathy for a fighter who would go to such lengths to fight? He concludes that he must resolve this matter personally, attempting to stand up and break free from Mr. 3’s Candle Jacket. Unfortunately, Mr. 5 intervenes, firing his cannon attack and engulfing Brogy in flames, causing severe injuries.
Luffy regains consciousness and questions Ussop whether he can forgive the perpetrators. Ussop, impulsive as ever, denies forgiveness. Carue, Vivi’s loyal bird, expresses its irritation with an angry quack. Carue starts digging into the ground near Luffy, igniting his determination as they prepare to fight back.
