Hearing Luffy’s challenge to fight, Zoro questions the seemingly idiotic request. Luffy, unaware of the villagers’ true intentions, calls Zoro an ungrateful person because the injured villagers named Zoro as the one who harmed them. This misunderstanding leads Luffy to challenge Zoro and teach him a lesson.
Luffy, taking this confrontation seriously, launches a straight punch at Zoro, who narrowly avoids the attack, causing a thick wall to crumble behind him. Luffy is determined to settle the matter with a fight. Zoro dodges Luffy’s punches and counters with a kick to Luffy’s face, sending him crashing into Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine.
Mr. 5 decides to eliminate Luffy first and triggers a significant explosion. Miss Valentine takes to the sky to escape the blast. Miss Valentine has consumed the Kilo Kilo Fruit, which allows her to control her weight, and she reduces it to 1 kg to float away from the shockwave. She can change her weight from 1 kg to 10,000 kg and intends to crush Zoro with her weight, but Zoro effortlessly evades her “10,000 kg Press” attack, as he is preoccupied with fighting Luffy.
Once the dust settles, Luffy emerges carrying the defeated Mr. 5. This surprising victory shocks everyone. Zoro tries to explain to Luffy that the villagers were actually bounty hunters who wanted to kill them. However, Luffy refuses to accept this and remains serious about fighting Zoro.
Left with no other option, Zoro ties his black bandana around his forehead, symbolizing his seriousness, and unsheathes all three of his swords for the battle. Luffy activates Gomu Gomu no Bazooka, a powerful move in which he stretches his arm back and propels it forward with tremendous force. Zoro counters with his devastating attack called Oni Giri, in which he wields three swords and strikes his target simultaneously.
They both release their attacks simultaneously, sending each other flying in opposite directions. They get back on their feet and continue their intense battle. Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine, feeling insulted and defeated, decide to attack Luffy and Zoro together to show them the true extent of their strength. They dash at the two fighters, but Luffy and Zoro easily defeat them while they continue to annoy and challenge the Straw Hat pirates.
