As the ship ventured further into the ocean, they entered a region where snow was falling. Suddenly, Nami heard a deafening sound of thunder coming from a clear and warm sky. She was perplexed and shocked because the weather had just changed within seconds. Nami recalled Crocus’s words about the unpredictable climate in the Grand Line. She had taken her eyes off the Log Pose for a moment, and the ship’s direction had inexplicably changed by approximately 180 degrees, leading them away from their intended destination. The sea, despite its calm appearance, was now carrying them in the wrong direction. Miss Wednesday explained that in the Grand Line, the wind, skies, and even the clouds couldn’t be trusted.

Nami instructed the crew to catch the wind from the right side to turn the ship 180 degrees to the left. However, the wind changed again, and a spring breeze began to blow. Suddenly, the waves grew in intensity, and thick fog enveloped them. Within the fog, the ship grazed an iceberg, causing the lower deck to leak. Ussop rushed to seal the leak, while Nami navigated through the chaotic and ever-changing weather conditions. After numerous challenges and abrupt climate shifts, they finally managed to set sail in the right direction, heading toward Whiskey Peak.

Throughout this ordeal, Zoro had been sleeping, oblivious to the chaos. When he woke up, he noticed the crew lying on the floor, utterly exhausted. He had a vague feeling that he had seen the faces of Miss Wednesday and Mr. 9 somewhere before but couldn’t quite remember. However, as they approached Whiskey Peak, a cactus-covered island, Miss Wednesday and Mr. 9 suddenly jumped into the ocean, laughing mysteriously.

IGARAPPOI
MAYOR OF WHISKEY PEAK

Nami informed the crew that they would need to stay on Whiskey Peak for a specific amount of time to allow the Log Pose to record the island’s magnetic field before they could proceed to the next one. The recording time varied for each island, with some taking only a few hours and others several days. Luffy, excited to explore Whiskey Peak, eagerly anticipated their arrival.

As the ship entered the river leading to the town, the crew was greeted with a warm and enthusiastic welcome from the villagers. They were thrilled by such a friendly reception. The mayor of Whiskey Peak, Igarappoi, personally welcomed the crew and extended an invitation to a grand banquet in the town. The crew gladly accepted the invitation, looking forward to the festivities that awaited them.
