Chapter 91: Darts

Spread the love

In a fury, Arlong continues attacking Luffy with his fangs, and Luffy responds by using Arlong’s brethren as shields to evade the relentless attacks. Luffy reveals that he has come up with a plan. Despite Arlong’s continuous fang attacks, Luffy skillfully avoids them, causing Arlong’s teeth to fall apart.

Luffy seizes the opportunity and grabs one of Arlong’s fallen fangs, placing it in his mouth to create an artificial fang. His plan is to bite off Arlong’s flesh with his own teeth. However, in a somewhat foolish attempt, Luffy manages to pierce Arlong’s skin with the artificial fang, but it lacks the strength to cause any significant harm. In retaliation, Arlong bites Luffy’s stomach with the fangs on his hands and follows it up with another bite on Luffy’s hand. The immense pressure in Arlong’s bites almost tears Luffy’s hand away. Despite the pain, Luffy doesn’t back down and throws Arlong to the ground, breaking his teeth and freeing his hand.

Injured but determined, Luffy searches for Arlong, only to find him vanished in broad daylight. Ussop hints to Luffy that Arlong may be underwater. In the water, Arlong’s speed becomes unmatched. He prepares to unleash an attack called “Shark Darts,” aiming for Luffy with his pointed, steel-hard extended nose. Arlong’s attacks are lightning-fast, and Luffy barely manages to dodge them, but not without pain. Luffy decides not to hide and plans to grab Arlong by his nose to crush it. The intense battle continues as Luffy puts his all into defeating the formidable fishman.
