Arlong seizes Genzou by his collar, angered by the possession of weapons, which he perceives as a sign of rebellion. He reveals his ambition to create an Arlong Empire, leaving Ussop worried about his own village falling under its control since it’s located in the East Blue region. Arlong decides to execute Genzou for disobeying him. In frustration and worry, Nojiko intervenes and pleads with Arlong to spare Genzou. She explains that the village has been paying tribute for eight years without any sign of rebellion. However, Arlong remains unmoved by her pleas and proceeds with the execution. He forcefully crashes Genzou’s head into a wall, throws him around like a toy, and intends to deliver the final blow by hurling him into the sky to fall to his death.
Unexpectedly, Arlong himself is attacked. Ussop employs his Gunpowder attack to stop Arlong’s assault. Angered, Arlong searches for the attacker and spots Ussop standing atop a house. Ussop, though fearful and with trembling legs, declares himself to be a powerful warrior of the sea with 8,000 followers. However, Arlong pays no heed to his claims and, in a fit of rage, uproots the entire house and hurls it towards Ussop to capture him. Arlong’s subordinates intervene, fearing he will wreak havoc on another village and disrupt the tribute. They manage to calm him down and forcefully take him back to Arlong Park.
Meanwhile, a group of fishmen chases after Ussop to capture him. Ussop flees to save himself from their pursuit. After the commotion settles, Nami arrives in the village and heads to the grave. Nojiko greets Nami, who reveals her plan to collect 100 million belli to buy the village, although she currently only possesses 7 million belli. In Arlong Park, Zoro has already defeated every fishman and is awaiting Arlong and the others, as he has vowed to bring Nami back.
