The formidable pirate, known as the most powerful in the East Blue, effortlessly defeats the skilled cooks. However, to everyone’s surprise, Patty’s strength proves remarkable as he manages to defeat a dozen pirates before being stopped by the 2nd Division Commander, Iron Will Pearl. Pearl’s body is encased in a massive round wall of steel, effectively blocking Patty’s attack and sending him flying.
Taking advantage of Patty’s vulnerability, one of the pirates seizes the opportunity to take out a knife from Patty’s pocket and attempts to harm him. Witnessing this malicious act, Sanji becomes infuriated and intervenes, delivering a powerful kick to the pirate’s face, sending him flying as well. Sanji passionately explains the sanctity of a cook’s knife, considering it the very soul of their craft. He also reveals his unique fighting style, using only his feet to preserve the precious tools of his culinary trade as he cannot risk injuring his hands, which are solely dedicated to cooking.
The formidable Iron Shield Pearl then challenges Sanji, initiating a heated battle between the two skilled fighters. Meanwhile, Luffy engages in a fight with Don Krieg, each driven by different motives. Don wields a spiked metal ball connected by a chain, which lands a blow on Luffy, sending him flying and colliding with Iron Shield Pearl. The sight of Pearl being wounded surprises everyone, as he has never been seen bleeding in any prior confrontation.
