Upon hearing the gruesome tale of Don Krieg’s pirates in the treacherous Grand Line, Zeff confirms that the one responsible for such a massacre is indeed Hawk Eye, the man Zoro has been searching for. The Grand Line is renowned for its abnormal and perilous nature, but this excites Luffy, eager for the adventure that lies ahead. Zoro feels a strong connection to the Grand Line, believing that his destiny is intertwined with this enigmatic place, where he hopes to finally encounter the man he seeks.
Back on Don Krieg’s ship, all the starving men are fed, and he reveals his plan to return to the Grand Line. He assigns them the task of capturing a ship from the lousy cooks at Baratie, as their own ship is at risk of sinking at any moment. He instills fear among his crew, threatening them with death if they do not comply with his orders. The pirates, filled with greed, embark on Baratie, ready to wreak havoc and kill the cooks to claim the ship and its treasures.
However, their sinister intentions are abruptly halted as Don Krieg’s galleon is unexpectedly cleaved in half. Everyone is taken aback by this mysterious turn of events. Zeff spots a small boat amidst the chaos. Meanwhile, Luffy and Zoro frantically search for their ship, only to discover that Nami has already fled, taking their ship and the treasure.
