Upon Luffy’s warm invitation to join his crew as the ship’s cook, Sanji humbly declines, expressing his deep attachment and dedication to his work at the Baratie restaurant. However, the hungry man named Gin, who is part of the formidable Krieg pirates, overhears Luffy’s plan to venture into the treacherous Grand Line and issues a warning to Luffy about the dangers that lie ahead. Subsequently, Gin takes his leave to rejoin his group in a small boat.
Meanwhile, the other chefs at the restaurant question Datty’s decision to hit Gin, considering that he is affiliated with the notorious Krieg pirates—a fleet of 50 ships and 5000 members, making them the strongest pirate group in the area. They express concern that any mistreatment of a Krieg pirate could spell trouble for the entire establishment if Captain Don Krieg were to find out.
In response, Datty explains that he believes in treating all customers fairly, regardless of their affiliations, and that serving food without payment would be unjust to other patrons.
Luffy finds himself assigned as an errand boy, but his carefree nature and spontaneity lead him to spoil various tasks he takes up. In one such instance, Luffy is entrusted with taking an order from a customer, only to be pleasantly surprised to find Zoro, Nami, and Ussop seated at the table, enjoying their delectable meals.
Meanwhile, Gin reaches a remote island and promptly informs Don Krieg of the Baratie restaurant’s location, offering to guide him there. The situation is set for an eventful encounter between the powerful Krieg pirates and the crew of the Going Merry.
