Chapter 41: To the Sea

Spread the love

Usopp carefully packs all his belongings, making his preparations to leave for the sea. Miss Kaya, finding Luffy and the others at the restaurant, learns that they are in search of a ship. She guides them to the shore, where she surprises them with a special gift – a ship called the Going Merry, designed by her butler Meri. The group is overjoyed and filled with excitement upon seeing their brand new vessel.

As they stand at the shore, they spot Usopp leaving in a small boat. He bids farewell to Miss Kaya, leaving her feeling melancholic, but she respects his decision and wishes him luck on his journey. In a touching moment, Luffy invites Usopp to join their crew as a new member. Usopp becomes emotional and gratefully accepts the invitation.

With their new crew member and ship, the group sets sail, embarking on a fresh and exciting adventure. As the ship disappears into the vast ocean, Miss Kaya feels a mix of emotions. She recalls a story Meri told her about Usopp’s past – when his father had left for the sea, and his mother was at death’s door. Usopp came running to her, claiming that pirates had arrived, giving her hope that his father had returned and that everything would be alright. These lies of Usopp kept her hope alive and motivated her to keep going.

Filled with a sense of gratitude towards Usopp, Miss Kaya decides to become stronger, using her life as a testament to the power of his lies and their impact on her life. Meanwhile, the three kids who were members of the Usopp Pirate group continue the ritual of lying every day, keeping the hope alive that their captain will return one day, just as he had inspired them to believe.
