Zoro confronts Arlong and launches a powerful attack with his three swords, aiming for Arlong’s extended nose, of which he is so proud. However, despite using all three swords simultaneously, Zoro fails to leave a single scar on it. Arlong, with his dynamic strength, pushes back Zoro and throws him off balance.
Meanwhile, Hachi regains consciousness and jumps into the water, chasing after Sanji. Breaking the boulder is crucial for the victory of the entire village, so Sanji’s task is of utmost importance. As Sanji aims for the boulder, Hachi delivers a barrage of punches just behind him. Nejiko realizes the significance of the task and blocks the punches, shielding Sanji with her body.
Zoro’s wounds reopen during his fight, and even Arlong is surprised to see him standing with those injuries. Arlong fears that he cannot allow such a powerful man to live, as he could be a threat in the future. Zoro smiles and explains that if he had lied down, his wounds wouldn’t have opened up. Arlong, confused by his statement, doesn’t realize that Zoro was actually indicating to Hachi.
At that moment, Hachi, about to attack Nejiko and Sanji, is immobilized by pain as his wounds reopen. Zoro’s remark was meant for Hachi, which Sanji quickly takes advantage of, setting Luffy free and breaking the boulder. Luffy’s body stretches back and acts like a catapult, throwing him into the sky.
Luffy spots Zoro in the air and extends his arm to catch him, replacing Zoro’s position, and launches an attack on Arlong. Luffy delivers his very first attack, starting with a headbutt, followed by powerful kicks, a bullet-like punch, and a barrage of punches known as “Gomu Gomu no Gatling Gun.”
Despite the ferocity of Luffy’s assault, Arlong remains unfazed, making everyone nervous about the extent of Arlong’s strength.
