Nami meets Luffy and the others, urging them to leave the island immediately, as she insists she is not their crewmate. She explains that their previous cooperation was merely a show and nothing more. Shockingly, she even agrees to Ussop’s supposed killing. However, Luffy is determined to stay on the island until Nami rejoins their crew. They decide to camp on the road while Yosaku and Jhonny take their leave, as they believe there is no further purpose for them on the island.
Meanwhile, Nami visits her home in Cocoyashi Village and confides in her sister, Nejiko, about Luffy and his group’s return. She tells Nejiko that they have come to take her as their navigator. Back in the village, Ussop, who is still soaking wet, reflects on the staged fight between him and Nami. To save his life, Nami put on a show where it appeared she killed him by stabbing her own hand instead, tricking everyone into believing he was dead.
Ussop recalls that Zoro must have been looking for him, and he rushes towards Arlong Park and find the group lying on the road. He clears up all misunderstandings about the incident and Nami’s actions. Nejiko joins the group, and decides to reveal the truth about the village’s past.
At the shore, the villagers spot another Marine ship, searching for Genzou.
