In a heartfelt moment, Gin, with tears in his eyes, apologizes for not following Don’s orders but makes a fervent request to spare the ship, solely for the sake of Sanji. However, Don becomes furious at the plea and readies himself to deploy the MH5 poison gas using his golden shield.
As the situation intensifies, Luffy takes action, running down the horizontal mast that linked Don to the destroyed platform. However, Don thwarts his progress by showering spears down upon him, creating a hindrance.
Just before unleashing the MH5 poison bomb, all the members of Don’s pirate crew secure their masks to protect themselves from the lethal gas. However, Don instructs Gin to cast his mask away, intending to reward him for his defiance. Gin, without hesitation, tosses his mask deep into the water. Don proceeds to fire the MH5 bomb.
In the midst of the chaos, Luffy quickly grabs two masks from the pirates and tosses them to Sanji and Gin. However, he realizes he has no mask to protect himself. In a stroke of luck, he spots a mask lying nearby and hurriedly puts it on.
As the poison gas fills the air, the pirates dive deep into the sea, while the cooks swim far from the ship, and others seek refuge inside the restaurant, shutting its doors. After a tense five minutes, the poison gas dissipates.
Upon discovering Gin without a mask, Luffy realizes that it was Gin who had thrown the spare mask to him while ensuring Sanji’s safety. This selfless act leaves Gin unconscious after inhaling the toxic gas. Witnessing this, Luffy erupts in a roar of rage and fury, shouting Don’s name in his determination to confront him.
