Sanji, a passionate and chivalrous cook with a penchant for romance, treats women with special care and respect, displaying a clear gender bias. Despite Zeff’s suggestion that he should leave the restaurant, as they don’t require his services, Sanji firmly refuses to depart, citing personal reasons for his unwavering dedication.
Later that day, a massive ship bearing a pirate flag adorned with two hourglasses on each side of the crossbone emerges on the horizon. It is the vessel of Don Krieg. Luffy and the crew speculate that Gin might have returned to settle the bill for their meal. However, to everyone’s surprise, Gin carries his captain, the incapacitated Don Krieg, on his shoulders and humbly requests food, promising to pay this time. The entire kitchen staff, aware of Don Krieg’s sinister reputation, vehemently denies him any sustenance. Nevertheless, Sanji reappears with food and wine for the infamous pirate, an act that goes unnoticed by the rest.
The customers and cooks share tales of Don Krieg’s dark past, how he cunningly masqueraded as a marine after escaping prison to launch attacks on innocent people. He used the marine flag to deceive and terrorize various islands and towns for his own gains. It becomes evident that Don Krieg is a man who cannot be trusted, willing to resort to any means to achieve his objectives.
In the present, as Don finishes his meal, he unexpectedly strikes Sanji with force, sending him hurtling through the air. Asserting his dominance, Don Krieg claims ownership of the restaurant, vowing to seize control and establish his own establishment. Gin, taken aback by his captain’s actions, realizes that Don is not the man he believed him to be, and Don reveals his true sinister nature, baring his fangs after regaining his strength.
