Chapter 21: Village

Spread the love

After their victory, Nami and Luffy celebrate, and Nami agrees to join Luffy’s crew as long as it helps her make money. They return to the street where Zoro was sleeping, and the villagers, who have now joined the crowd, mistake them for Buggy pirates. Luffy confirms their assumption, claiming he was the one who knocked out their chief. The villagers chase after them, and Luffy carries Zoro, making their escape. Nami is angry at Luffy for revealing their pirate status, but they find the situation amusing.

Shushu blocks the path of the villagers, barking at them, giving Luffy and the others a chance to escape. They reach the docking area and are surprised to see Nami’s stolen ship, but three men are waiting inside, ready to confront her for the theft. However, seeing Zoro’s face, they quickly retreat in fear.

Chief regains consciousness and looks for the trio, relieved to find them alive. He dashes to the harbor to catch up with them and expresses his gratitude for saving the village, wishing them luck on their adventures. Nami is bewildered when she learns that Luffy left half of the treasure to repair the town. She angrily tries to throw Luffy into the water, while Zoro laughs joyfully at the situation.

With Nami now a new member of the crew, the two boats continue sailing on the sea, unaware of the judgment awaiting them on the next island in the forest.
