Natsu Dragneel and the rest of the Fairy Tail Guild members return in Fairy Tail 2. Koei Tecmo has released a new teaser trailer for the sequel to its 2020 game, highlighting the title’s action-packed content.
A new Fairy Tail 2 trailer has been released on the official Koei Tecmo YouTube channel, which differs from the previous Nintendo Direct reveal. The new trailer showcases many of the brand-new action sequences that players can perform as their favorite Fairy Tail characters. Natsu, Lucy Heartfilia, and their daring companions will face Zeref Dragneel and the Spriggan 12 in the series’ final story arc.
According to Koei Tecmo and developer Gust, Fairy Tail 2 includes “3D graphics and improved gameplay with more intense and spectacular battles, in which players will use more powerful magic and a variety of other strategic elements to take down enemies in stunning action sequences.” Players will also be able to seamlessly navigate the vast world of Fairy Tail 2, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in the anime’s conclusion.
Obviously, this is not the end of Fairy Tail. Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest is a new anime series that recently premiered on Crunchyroll. The sequel series follows the Fairy Tail Guild as they embark on a new and dangerous journey that has been left unfinished for more than a century. Hiro Mashima, the series’ creator, is also involved in Farmagia, a new monster-raising and farming simulation game. Edens Zero, Mashima’s sci-fi action series, ended on June 26, 2024, after six years of publication.
Fairy Tail 2 will be released this winter for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. The official description of the game provided by the publisher reads, “Fairy Tail 2 returns fans to the epic action of the original series’ climax, the Alvarez Empire Arc. In this new title, players will be able to control not only Natsu and Lucy as main characters, but also other members of the Fairy Tail guild, to defeat their greatest enemy, Zeref, the Emperor Spriggan of the Alvarez Empire, who is guarded by the Spriggan 12 and the Black Dragon, Acnologia.”
